The South African International Tattoo Convention is thrilled to announce its 2025 event, taking place from 28th to 30th March at P2 Marque, DHL Stadium. As the first major event hosted at this new venue, we are excited to bring an unparalleled tattooing experience to Cape Town’s vibrant community.

This convention has been since 2017 and even though COVID slowed us down for 2 years, this will be the 7th annual convention, with each year getting bigger and better. 

The South African International Tattoo Convention is a unique 3-day event that gathers over 120 of the world’s top tattoo artists from more than 20 countries. Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to get tattooed by renowned local and international artists, each specializing in a variety of styles. This heartfelt, tattooer-owned event is more than just a convention; it’s a celebration of art, music, and culture.

Beyond the tattooing, the event promises an unforgettable experience with live performances from local bands, a beer tent, a cocktail bar, and an array of street food from Cape Town’s best food trucks. While the event primarily caters to those over 18 looking to get tattooed, it is also designed to be a family-friendly festival. Attendees can enjoy art exhibits and witness the incredible artistry of tattoo artists up close.

We believe this is due to the acceptance of tattooing as a well-respected art form and its introduction into mainstream media. The main objective of The South African International Tattoo Convention is to introduce the public to a wide range of new styles and cultures as well as remove the stigma created around tattooing,” says the founder and tattoo artist, Waldo Del Rocca.
