In celebration of Heritage Day, The 5-star Cellars-Hohenort Hotel in Constantia is hosting an especially South African high tea. The weekend of the 23rd to the 25th of September will be filled with mouth-watering sweet and savoury treats, and the beautiful views of the wine-growing region of Cape Town: ponds, ancient trees, and great lawns.
The tea consists of four courses of familiar and delectable dishes, including biltong, bunny chow, bobotie, koeksisters and milk tart – to name a few. This will all be served in the elegant greenhouse located on the property.
After a delicious savoury feast followed by sweet delights of scones with Cape gooseberry jam and other South African staples, guests can take a leisurely stroll through the beautiful hotel gardens and water features.
Only a quick 15-minute drive from the city centre, the hotel sits in the historical Constantia Valley – known as ‘Cape Town’s Vineyard’. Known for serving delicious picnics and decadent classic high teas, this is a spectacular way to celebrate Heritage Day weekend.
