Police are trying to find the family of an unidentified boy whose body was found at a home in Nyanga, Cape Town, on Friday.

Detective Lieutenant Gavin Sias said the boy was between the ages of four and seven.

His body was found at a house in Sagwityi Street. He had been wearing a green top, black track pants, and boots.

Sias told News24 the boy hadn’t been identified by Friday evening and the cause of his death was unknown.

“We will know the cause of death after we have conducted a postmortem,” said Sias.

Police urge anyone who may have information about his family to contact Sias on 082 469 7243.
